Sponge filtration for aquariums and ponds Why Sponge filters should not be overlooked as filters for your aquarium or pond

Filtration sponge is often overlooked type of filtration for freshwater aquarium or pond, and even marine aquariums. Many people who look beyond their simplicity, as ineffective, but therein lies its quality. I have used them for my aquarium maintenance for 27 years with excellent results. So here is a list of its attributes:

[1] Easy to use, most are run on very basic air pumps or Powerheads. One of the best beginner fan filters for simplicity and cost. However, filters sponge filters are also popular among farmers and research institutions, as they are very efficient but simple.

[2] Excellent biological filtration are very porous and can hold large colonies of aerobic bacteria in proportion to the space they occupy. Note that not all materials used for sponge filters are equal, there are patents, because of this! The Hydro sponge filter holds several patents for sponge filters for this very reason!

[3] mechanical filtration, although not the best mechanical filters, they still do a good job for their Small Size and filters excellent secondary or primary, when used in combination with other filters, such as bedside, boat, or internal filters.

[4] very few areas "dead" pockets trapping harmful bacteria, unlike the undergravel filters and even wet / dry filters (which in my experience of more than a score).

[5] Easy to clean, simply remove the sponge and squeeze or rinse old aquarium water or dechlorinated tap water. The advantage here is the fan is less likely to ignore filter cleaning (unlike many complex filters), which can lead to accumulation organic nitrates increased and the KH and pH reduction.

[6] Sponge filters are large marine aquarium in a couple of different ways, one way is in a manifold (sometimes sideways) with a small pump head supply (as a Via Aqua 480), and the other (usually on a reef of application) were found inside the aquarium with air pump or a head power. If I had to take a fish from my pond in our pastures would be to live in an aquarium?

we have a gap in our back pasture, and I wanted to have a rack just to my house and put it in an aquarium at my mom said she used to live in fresh water .. shes JW porbly rihgt shes But if Im wrong .. going to live if I do? if is definitely not going to Live im not going to understand here Obviosly.

Taking the fish out of their natural environment could stress the poor devil out and kill him. No all fish that are freshwater in a natural freshwater well get in captivity, will be confused and probably refuse to eat, so they will starve. No I would like someone dragged me out of my habitat and put in a containment tank so small compared to the mansion "" is in yo ... I would be pi ** ed as a saint who **!!
