Is there any vegetable that can grow in the shade?

In my backyard I have three birches that the shadow of a flower bed that I would grow in vegetables Are there any that will grow in the shade? I sunbathe, but not enough.

Yes, you can grow leafy vegetables such as lettuce, spinach, chard, arugula, endive and Radiccio. Beans, beets, broccoli, cabbage, kohlrabi, peas, potatoes, rhubarb and turnips grow in partial shade, but do not occur as large as a crop of plants growing in full sun. Mint, sage, dill, oregano, borage, chamomile and several kinds of thyme grow well without much sun. Vegetables should be planted in an east-west. When the sun passes over all plants receive the same amount of light. This is especially important when plants grow at different heights. Before planting, take a walk around your Birch and see how the sun hits a few more points than others. This gives you an idea of where to put plants that require a little more sun than others. Do not be afraid to cut some birch twigs for letting light splashed over some areas due to make a big difference. You will need to add organic matter so there is much competition with birch roots of nutrients and moisture. The foliage of the plants are kept moist and in the shade than in sunny areas. To avoid disease problems caused by poor air circulation, along with lower levels of light, Space plants farther apart in the shadows ... provide more air movement around each individual plant. Also the water in a manner that avoids wetting the foliage, and cut some of the lower extremities tree to funnel breezes beneath the treetops ... improve air circulation. Finally, the plant is most Disease Resistant varieties of vegetables available. Good luck! Hope this helps.
