What is the origin of flowering bulbs?
Whenever You Get a bulb of Nice in the store, most are usually quite large and always flowers on the First Year ... as tulips do ... and smaller the older they are. I know sometimes these bulbs division - but they are smaller than original. So where did the big come back? Can I somehow make my own since I planted bulbs now? Thank you.
Some come from a principle of the plant starting from seed (daffodils are one example) and others comes from bulbils (small seed-like * stuff * that form in the stem, being a example of some types of lilies). Most times we as consumers buy large Bulbs From a commercial source, but may allow daffys and the like to go to the seeds and can be naturalized or can plant bulbs of plants such as lilies spread them for more plants. However, it takes a few years but for these plants for reach a point where it will flower size. For faster results, plant bulbs that are grown commercially. I have had good results for all techniques.
